Time for our next Community Sweat! This month we’re at Studio X Birkram Yoga where Adam Chipiuk will be leading the class. Adam is one of the most experienced yoga teachers in the world and has helped train over 2500 teachers worldwide. If you have never practiced yoga before you will feel comfortable here as a beginner (be aware that this is a hot yoga class so ensure you stay hydrated). If you are an experienced practitioner, you will still continue to advance because your growth is limitless.

If you’ve never checked them out before, you’ll immediately be welcomed by the community feel of the space and attention to their practice. Change rooms and locker spaces are available to store your gear and freshen up after.

Please arrive 15 – 20mins before class to sign the waiver form. You can also download the Studio X app through mind body and that will expedite the registration.

HYDRATE: Drink lots of water before, during, and after your workout. It is very important to stay hydrated. They have filtered water stations for your water bottles.

EAT: Please don’t attempt to workout on an empty stomach. Have a full meal a few hours before class or a light snack up to half-an-hour before.

WEAR: Wear clothes that will allow you to sweat comfortably. We suggest wearing shorts and sports bras. Mats and towels will be provided but we encourage to bring your own if possible.

Stay for a bit afterwards and chat! Green Mustache will be providing smoothies samples to revitalize your body and GNC will be there if you want to grab a quick snack.

What is Bikram Yoga?

Bikram Yoga is the original hot yoga. It is traditional Hatha Yoga practiced in a heated (40 degree) and humid (40 percent) environment. It is a series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises that systematically effects every part of your body by moving your body through your full range of motion.
