The U of A Pandas Volleyball team is once again set to compete for their 8th National Championship right here at home in March. Led by former Strathcona High School player Kory White, the team finished the season at 18-6 in their conference.

White is in her third-year as an outside hitter with the team and recently recorded a career playoff high with 26 kills, while sophomore outside hitter Julia Zonneveld set a career-high 29 digs in Alberta’s four-set victory (25-17, 21-25, 25-16, 25-14), at Saville Community Sports Centre to win their Canada West quarter-final series 2-1.

“We talk about wanting to resemble ourselves when we’re under pressure. Sometimes you try to do more than you normally do, but you have to be yourself,” said Pandas head coach Laurie Eisler.

The team is headed into the National Championships with one of the most well balanced teams they have put on the court in years and are poised to challenge to be the best in the country yet again.
