Anthony Zorzetto is the co-founder of Anvo Construction and a fully recovered drug addict, which fueled his desire to involve himself in motivational public speaking – drug awareness, entrepreneurship, and goal setting are among his popular topics of choice. Simply put Anthony has created a multi-millionare dollar operation through his team’s ability to build, design, develop, and renovate spaces in all residential, commercial, and corporate arenas. One could argue his passion for construction was inherited in his genes and also from his initial experience as a journeyman carpenter.

In 2019, he was featured on the 2nd Floor Podcast in a very personal and vulnerable episode, Anthony views this piece as an opportunity to let loved ones and people out there know the raw details of where his addiction to drugs have led his actions and mindset. They talk about how he fell into drugs; what led him to coming extremely close to putting a gun to his head; how he got out clean, along with gaining an entirely new outlook on life.

We caught up with Anthony Zorzetto recently as part of our #iamYEGFit feature.

Tell Us A Bit About Yourself.

I am first and foremost a father to my son, Nico and an Edmonton born and raised entrepreneur and public speaker. Most of my online presence is dedicated to sharing my journey through homelessness, addiction and mental health issues.

People Value Fitness For Different Reasons. What’s Yours?

Fitness is a major part of my life. I’ve been working out constantly since I was 15 years old. I’m a firm believer that the endorphins from working out keeps my head in-check and keeps the demons of addiction at bay. More specifically, Brazilian Jiu jitsu has been essential to my overall health and mental health.
