Trying to live the good life is a universal aspiration. Wealth, success, and happiness are coveted by many as they navigate through life’s journey. After all, who doesn’t want to enjoy the finer things life has to offer? Often, living the life of luxury is challenging because, to the mind, it seems impossible. Thinking about having a million-dollar mansion when you make $30,000 a year, dreaming of owning a business when you’re still working a minimum wage 9-5 job, or even imagining you and your loved ones taking an exotic vacation when you can’t even muster up the money to go on a weekend getaway makes it harder for you to reach your goals.

It is best instead to set smarter goals. Breaking, for example, some of the goals listed above down into smaller tasks makes it more feasible in the mind to achieve. If you say you want a million-dollar mansion in the next ten years, decide what kind of career you’d need to earn enough to afford it and then begin setting goals to move into that career field.
