Liverpool may have lost the title race and the champions league final, but they had an incredible season winning two trophies. They won two domestic cups over Chelsea and lost the title race to Manchester City and the Champions League final to Real Madrid. We can conclude that last season could have been better, but it was alright.

They played every possible game with all their strength and courage even though they had players with injuries. In the long run, players like; Mohammad Salah, Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Thiago Alcantara did well, justifying why they would be among the top picks for the Qatar 2022 odds

However, after losing two finals in the 2021/2022 campaign, Liverpool knows they need to strengthen their team by hitting the transfer market. After the exit of Sadio Mane, the Merseysiders had to secure the service of Darwin Nunez from Benfica, who netted 34 goals in 41 matches last season, along with Fabio Carvalho, who came from Fulham.

With the new players and old ones ready to mix, these are the six players we expect to be starters for Liverpool in the EPL next season.

Mohammed Salah

Mohammad Salah has been one of the key players for Jurgen Klopp, and he is important for Liverpool to make one of their starters as it has always been. He had another terrific season with the Merseyside club. He won another Golden boot with Liverpool scoring 23 goals in 35 league games last season.

Since the arrival of Salah, he has dominated the EFL, scored over 200 goals, and won 7 major trophies and 3 Golden boots in just 254 appearances. The Egyptian will be a key player for the Reds next season. He also signed another long-term contract with Liverpool, which is a good advantage for the Reds.

However, Salah will miss the departure of his teammate Sadio Mane because of their connection in the front line, but his replacement will cover Darwin Nunez.

Alisson

Allison is also one of the consistent players under Jurgen Klopp since he was signed after his outstanding performance in the 2017/2018 season. He could play 36 English Premier League games and kept 20 clean sheets.

Since joining Liverpool, Alisson has led other goalkeepers in the EPL with his goal and assist output. He is known for scoring two and assisting one. A notable one was when he scored with a stunning header, which kept Liverpool’s Champions league hope alive in a dramatic situation.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was the one who provided the assist, he whipped the ball in, and Alison, open, sent the ball past the Newcastle goalie. It was a surprising and unbelievable moment in a critical moment.

Allison becomes the only Liverpool Goalkeeper to score a goal in their history, so from his past performance, he is expected to start most games for Liverpool next season.

Darwin Nunez

The Uruguayan professional, born on the 24th of June 1999, plays forward. He is currently a new Liverpool player who is a replacement for the exit of Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich.

He came through a youth Academy from Penarol and was later promoted to this first team in 2017. He also later joined the Spanish Segunda side of Almeria. He was signed again to Benfica in 2020 for a club-record transfer, making him the most expensive player in Portuguese football history.

However, his performance in the 2021/2022 campaign with Benfica was superb scoring 34 goals, which is one of the reasons why Liverpool had to sign him and make sure he fits in the current Liverpool squad.

Andrew Robertson

After moving from Hull City to Liverpool, Andrew Robertson has become a top left-back in the EPL, and he has been consistent under Jurgen Klopp alongside his teammates. He recorded an average of 67 passes per match, while his completion was about 85%.

He played 29 matches last season, recorded eight shots from a total of 14, and scored three goals. He had an injury in the long run, which ruled him out for a while, and his disappearance in games tells how important he was for the team.

However, being a key player for Liverpool’s team, Robertson is expected to start most games in the upcoming 2022/2023 EPL campaign.

Trent Alexander Arnold

Trent has been one of the most talented English players of his generation. He’s also one of the key roles in Liverpool’s success in recent years.

Arnold is also an expert in taking free kicks for his teammates, scoring two goals and12 assists last season. However, he is also expected to start most games for the Reds this coming season.

Virgil Van Dijk

Having missed so many games in the 2020/2021 season due to an injury; Virgil Van Dijk returned to the first team, helping the team secure 21 clean sheets. The center-back is expected to start most games for Liverpool this coming season.
