If so, there’s a great event coming up this fall that you need to know about. The Central Regional Walk: Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s 2019 takes place in Princeton, NJ on October 13th, 2019. to have a good time and raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and the people it affects daily.
The event will give 100 percent of the proceeds to New Jersey families. That’s something you can feel really good about because the more money you raise in donations, the more people you can help by walking. In 2018, New Jersey participants and communities raised $700,000. The goal for the Princeton race is to raise $130,000 in donations.
All the Details You Need to Know
Registration is at 8:30 AM. Kick-off is at 9:30 AM and the walk officially begins at 10 AM. The meeting spot is 660 Rosedale Road in Princeton. After you’re done walking, you’re invited to stay after to meet and mingle with other participants.
Light refreshments will be served and there will be live music for you to enjoy, too. You can get to know some of the top participants and their reason for walking. After visiting the Walk’s website, you’ll see who has raised the most funds for Alzheimer’s to-date for this event.
Each walker gets raffle tickets. At the end of the event, the winners will be announced. You’re welcome to stay to see if your ticket is drawn. You can also bring your four-legged friend to walk with you as long as they are on a leash.
